Cognitive Behavior Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a skills development therapy. Some people were raised in families where there effective communication skills, critical thinking skills, and emotional modulation skills were modeled and encouraged, some people were not. Through CBT these important life skills are strengthened or, if needed, taught and modeled. There is usually an assignment for clients to complete between appointments.

What does this mean to you: CBT is an evidence-based therapy for many difficulties people experience including anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, anger, and relapse prevention.
