The Genesis Process for Relapse Prevention of Compulsive/Addictive Behaviors

The Genesis Process is a model of counseling founded on biblical principles. It incorporates cognitive behavior therapy and motivational interviewing to target unhealthy emotional wounds and teach skills and principles on which to build a healthier lifestyle. The Genesis Process, developed by Michael Dye and Patricia Fancher, consists of ten modules including a comprehensive assessment. Many people have found Genesis helpful and life changing, not only those with addictions. Any person struggling with problematic behaviors can benefit from The Genesis Process, whether it is procrastination, workaholism, being judgmental, avoidance, overspending, binge drinking, etc. Through education, information,  and strengthening skills Genesis provides the tools to change.

What does this mean to you: There is hope and the means for you to change your unwanted behaviors with the Genesis Process. It is not about willpower but about “rewiring your brain.”
